Development Analysis

AMERICAN SYSTEMS JIWC is at the forefront of Capabilities-Based Assessments (CBA) with the conduct of JCIDS analyses. The Department of Defense (DoD) JCIDS analysis process is a robust cross-component analysis of warfighting and required capabilities that:

    • Identifies and documents capability gaps;
    • Determines the attributes of capabilities or combinations of capabilities that resolve identified gaps;
    • Identifies materiel and non-material approaches for implementation; and
    • Roughly assesses the cost and operational effectiveness of the Joint Force for each of the identified approaches to resolving capability gaps.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS JIWC has led the conduct of CBAs in support of both the Joint Services Small Arms Program and the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Program.
